- How do I set up my API key? — Open the extension side panel, go to Settings, and paste your OpenAI API key.
- Which AI providers are supported? — Any OpenAI-compatible API. Set your custom Base URL in Settings.
- How do I activate my license? — Go to Settings, paste your license key, and click Save.
- Can I get a refund? — Yes, email us and we'll sort it out on a case-by-case basis.
- Is my data safe? — Your text goes directly to your own API key. We never see or store it. See our Privacy Policy.
YouTube Bookmarker — FAQ
- How do I add a bookmark? — Click the bookmark button on a YouTube watch page or press
Alt+Shift+B. - Where are my bookmarks stored? — They are stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage.
- How do I activate my license? — Open the popup, click Activate License, paste your license key, and click Activate.
- What does Pro unlock? — Pro unlocks unlimited bookmarks and export to Markdown / JSON.
- Why does export ask me to upgrade? — Export is a paid feature. Free users can still create bookmarks and notes, but export requires Pro or Lifetime.
- Does this work outside YouTube? — No. The extension is built specifically for YouTube watch pages.

Ctrl+Shift+Bon Windows/Linux andCommand+Shift+Bon macOS. - Which translation engines are supported? — Free users can use MyMemory. Pro unlocks BYOK engines like OpenAI, Claude, DeepL, and compatible providers.
- Does it replace the whole page? — No. It keeps the original text visible and adds translations alongside it for reading.
- How do I activate my license? — Open the About tab in the popup, paste your license key, and click Activate.
- What data do you store? — Preferences, glossary entries, and license state are stored in your browser. See our Privacy Policy.

- What does PortalPilot do? — It analyzes complex application, registration, and submission pages into structured sections like requirements, materials, deadlines, risks, and next steps.
- Do I need my own AI API key? — Yes. PortalPilot uses a bring-your-own-key workflow where applicable, so analysis runs against the AI provider you configure.
- What is free and what is paid? — Free covers single-page analysis and page checklist. Pro and Lifetime unlock project workspaces, multi-page rollups, grouped timeline, conflict watch, and brief export.
- How do I activate my license? — Open the About tab in the side panel, paste your license key, and click Activate license.
- Where is my data stored? — Your endpoint settings, workspace state, snapshots, checklist items, and license state are stored locally in your browser. See our Privacy Policy.
- Does PortalPilot automatically submit forms for me? — No. It helps you analyze and organize complex pages, but it does not replace your own review or submit applications on your behalf.
